HFA’s Songfile Now Offers Licensing for Interactive Streaming
The Harry Fox Agency, Inc. (HFA) has announced that Songfile, its online licensing service, is now available for interactive streams licensing. In addition to obtaining licenses for cover versions of songs for CDs, permanent digital downloads (PDDs), and ringtones, Songfile’s over 70,000 registered users can now do the same for interactive streams.
Customers who wish to stream cover songs on their websites will be able to obtain licenses for these streams for $0.01 per stream. Licenses are available for a minimum of 100 streams to a maximum of 10,000 streams per song. As with other Songfile transactions, customers may pay via credit card or electronic check payment.
“This is yet another exciting offering for our independent licensees,” said Maurice Russell, Senior Vice President of Licensing, Collections and Business Affairs, HFA. “Religious organizations and educational institutions will benefit greatly from this new service. Interactive streaming licenses on Songfile will allow these markets and others to stream cover recordings easily and lawfully.”
